Lotus Buds is a collection of stories of the children Amy Carmichael rescued from temple marriages and raised under the protective wing of the Dohnavur mission. She hired a photographer to capture her girls in daily life, and the result is about 50 gorgeous photographs showcasing their characters and expressions as closely as could be reproduced in film. About the Author:

Amy Carmichael founded an orphanage and mission in Dohnavur, India. She spent 55 years on the field in the late 1800s and early 1900s, and was a prolific author, with her books still in wide circulation across the globe.
